Search fee terms
What the BD 20 search fee is, what it covers, when it is credited and when it is refunded.
What is the search fee?
After your intro call, you pay a BD 20 search fee. It starts your case.
What does it cover?
It covers a Saleem doctor's review of your reports, the hospital search with itemised quotes explained, and a case manager until you are home. A Saleem doctor reviews every quote before it reaches you, and each quote is valid for 2 weeks from the date it is issued.
The fee is not payment for treatment, travel or stay.
When do I pay it?
After your intro call, your case manager sends a link for your case with these terms and a payment button. You pay through that secure link, which shows the payment methods available, and you receive a receipt.
Is it credited to my treatment?
Yes. If you go ahead with treatment, the BD 20 is credited to your treatment cost. Your itemised quote shows it as a credit line.
When is it refunded?
If Saleem cannot give you a proper quote within 3 to 4 weeks of receiving your reports, the fee is refunded.
A proper quote is an itemised quote in Bahraini dinars from a partner hospital for the treatment you asked about, reviewed by a Saleem doctor. The refund goes back to you by the method you paid with, or by bank transfer where that is not possible, and we confirm it on WhatsApp.
What if I decide not to go ahead?
Apart from the refund above, the fee is not refunded. This includes when you decide not to go ahead after you receive your quotes, and when the search runs past 4 weeks because your reports arrived late.
