What are cookies?

Cookies and similar tools, such as local storage, are small pieces of data a website keeps on your device. Some make the site work. Others help us see which pages help people and which ads bring them here.

Our rule: consent before cookies

We ask before we use cookies that measure visits or ads. Until you choose, they stay off. Choose Accept to allow them, or Essential only to keep them off.

Essential

These remember your language, your light or dark theme, your motion preference and your cookie choice, and keep you signed in to your account. They do not need consent. They stay on your device until you clear your browser data, and your sign-in ends when you sign out.

Measurement

If you accept, we use measurement tools such as Google Analytics to see how people reach us and which pages are used, to improve the site. They do not receive anything about your health.

Advertising

If you accept, advertising platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok and Snapchat can see which ads brought people to Saleem. We do not send your health details to advertising platforms: no treatment, condition, specialty or doctor names in what we send them. Doctor profiles, booking, guides, Obesity Awareness, Check a quote, your account and payment pages reach them only as a general health page, without the page address. Visits to the home page, Treatment abroad, destination pages and hospital pages are sent with the page address. Your contact details are shared with them only if you give a separate consent for that.

Change your choice

You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, or from your account settings if you are signed in. Switching measurement or advertising off stops those cookies from then on. You can also clear the site data in your browser, and the banner will ask again.

• Essential: your language, theme, motion preference and cookie choice, and your sign-in session. Set by Saleem.
• Measurement: visit and page measurement, set by tools such as Google Analytics, only if you accept.
• Advertising: ad measurement, set by platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok and Snapchat, only if you accept.
