Privacy policy
How Saleem collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data.
Who we are
Saleem Telemedicine W.L.L. (“Saleem”, “we”), commercial registration 141800-1, Shop 2124, Building 2004, Road 1527, Block 115, Hidd, Bahrain. We run this website, scheduled video appointments with doctors and a medical travel coordination service.
For privacy questions and requests, write to support@tellsaleem.com with “Privacy” in the subject line. A member of our team replies, and our medical team is involved whenever the request concerns health information.
The law that applies
We handle personal data under Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018). Health information is sensitive data under that law, and we treat it that way: we collect it only for your request, your appointment or your case, and we share it only as this policy describes.
If you live outside Bahrain, the law of your country may give you further rights. Write to us and we will help you use them.
What we collect
Information you give us:
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- Who the request is for, the treatment you ask about, the countries you would consider and your timing.
- Your reports, scans and other documents, and the health information you add to your medical history.
- Your messages to us, including in chat and on WhatsApp.
- The details you enter when you book a video appointment.
Information from your device:
- The pages you visit, your language and theme choice, and your consent choice.
- If you accept cookies: measurement data about how you reached us and which pages helped.
Why we use it
- To answer your request, book your intro call and run your case.
- To book and run video appointments.
- To share your reports with hospitals you approve, and to check and explain quotes.
- To contact you about your case.
- To understand which pages help people, if you accept cookies.
- To meet our legal duties.
We rely on your consent for your health information and for cookies, on the service you asked for when we run your request, case or appointment, and on our legal duties as an NHRA-licensed telemedicine platform and a Bahraini company. You can withdraw a consent at any time; this does not affect what was done before you withdrew it.
Advertising and cookies
We ask for your consent before we use cookies that measure visits or ads. Until you choose, they stay off. If you choose Essential only, they stay off.
We do not send health information to advertising platforms. That means no treatment, condition, specialty or doctor names.
We do not share your contact details with advertising platforms unless you give a separate, clearly worded consent for that, and you can withdraw it at any time. See the cookie page.
Where your data is stored
Your data is kept on secure servers, encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people who need it for your request, appointment or case.
When you approve a hospital abroad, your reports go to that hospital in its country. Apart from that, your health information leaves Bahrain only where a service provider that works for us stores data outside Bahrain under a contract that protects it.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only as long as we need it.
- Case records, reports and scans: for as long as your case or account is active, and afterwards for as long as Bahraini law requires us to keep health records.
- Video appointment records: the same rule as case records, because the doctor's notes are part of your health record.
- Messages to us: for as long as your request or case is open, then with its records.
- Measurement data: in summary form only, once it has served its purpose.
You can ask us to delete data we no longer need to keep.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete what we no longer need to keep, and to withdraw a consent you gave. You can download your medical history from your account at any time, and change your cookie choice from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
To make a request, write to support@tellsaleem.com. We confirm that we received it, we may ask you to prove your identity, and we reply within the time the law sets. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to Bahrain's Personal Data Protection Authority.
Changes and contact
We will post changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we handle your health information, we tell you before it applies.
